Elizabeth is a Research Coordinator in the eHealth Strategy Office, UBC Faculty of Medicine. She holds a Masters degree in Linguistics from the University of Calgary with a focus on Blackfoot sound structure and the facilitation of language learning and revitalization. She is actively involved in Ktunaxa language revitalization activities through her work with the College of the Rockies in the east Kootenays, where she is an online course developer and instructor.

Her work at the eHealth Strategy Office involves working with interdisciplinary teams from within academic and health care settings, as well as within communities including First Nations communities across BC and the Yukon, as well as the Chinese- and Punjabi-speaking communities in BC. This work focuses on culturally relevant and linguistically appropriate methods of education and engagement to improve access to health information and encourage empowerment through self-management.

Elizabeth’s research interests include community-based research and capacity building, with a broad focus on social, community, and cultural wellbeing.
